Bessonov Boris
Bessonov Boris (1862, Moscow - November 26, 1934, Paris, France) - Russian painter and graphic artist. Biographical information about the artist is numerous. He studied at the Moscow University and also attended classes in MUZHVZ of V.G.Perov and A.K. Savrasov. Since 1880 was the official of the Ministry of Agriculture, served in the Nizhny Novgorod province, traveled around the country. Later worked in Moscow. He painted landscapes, mostly in winter, in the style of Peredvizhniky. In 1922 he emigrated to Paris. In France he had many exhibitions, often with the artist M.Germashev. Has contract with the gallery owner Leon Gerard. Exhibited his artworks in the Independents' salon (1931). Favorite motifs of the Bessonov's late art were the Russian winter landscape and the abandoned aristocratic parks and estates.
